Some thoughts on politics

Introduction
Today, Tuesday 11/8/2016, is Election Day. I have collected some wits which could certainly make your day.
Enjoy
PS:
- As the matter of fact, whoever wins this election, I can assure you that if you are somewhere in the middle, your life would not change, even a tiny bit – The rich just simply gets richer, and the poor still gets… pregnant.
- Honestly, I myself do not vote at all… Last time I voted; I voted for the “Nguyen Van Thieu – Nguyen Cao Ky” slate… and no more voting for me.

Elections
The Russian democracy is vastly superior to the American democracy. In Russia, we know the result of elections a week before they take place. In America, the result of the election is a week after it takes place. (OMG! It sounds exactly like Vietnamese democracy. Doesn’t it? Uh! What a joke!)
-Vladimir Putin (Russian President)
Guns / Arms Control
A woman has narrowly failed to assassinate President Gerald Ford. There are too many guns in this country in the hands of people who do not know how to use them.
-Hubert Humphrey (Vice President / Presidential candidate)
We’ve got the kind of President (George H Bush?) who thinks arms control means some kind of deodorant.
-Patricia Schroeder (1988 Presidential candidate)
Presidential Candidates
Democracy means anyone can grow up to be the President, and anyone who doesn’t grow up can be vice-President. (Really!?)
-Johnny Carson (Tonight Show Host)
Bill Clinton’s mistake
The biggest mistake that Bill Clinton made was not getting Teddy Kennedy to drive Monica Lewinsky home.
-Denis Leary (Actor / Comedian)
Economic Plan
Gordon Brown (British Politician) bases his politics on the Dolly Parton School of Economics – unbelievable figure, blown out of all proportion, with no visible means of supports. (Wow! Again, it sounds exactly like Vietnam’s beautiful Economic Plans. Doesn’t it? What the Phuck!)
-Kenneth Clarke (British Politician)
Politician
What this country needs is more unemployed politicians.
–Angela Davis (American politician / Civil Right Activist)
Friends / Enemies
… In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. (How true!?)
-Marin Luther King (Civil Right Movement)
